The Fuel Pressure Tester Kit works on most domestic fuel injected vehicles having a Schrader valve test port on the fuel rail. This includes Ford high pressure central fuel injection and GM, Ford and Chrysler multi-port fuel injection. Multi-port means one fuel injector per cylinder. Includes: 0 - 100 PSI Fuel Pressure Test Kit - CP7818.
Actron's Fuel Pressure Tester Kit works on most domestic fuel injected vehicles having a Schrader valve test port on the fuel rail
Use on the following: Ford high pressure central fuel injection and GM, Ford, and Chrysler multi-port fuel injection - multi-port means one fuel injector per cylinder
Tests: fuel pump check valves (leak down test), fuel pressure regulators, weak fuel pumps, fuel line integrity (clogged or damaged fuel filters), leaking injectors
Kit includes: large easy-to-read 2-1/2 inch gauge with standard (0-100 psi) and metric (0-700kPa) scales, Ford fuel line adapter, solid brass fittings, & pressure relief valve for safe, clean testing
Since the pressure tube is so short, the gauge is hard to see from inside the car. Also, the gauge isn't rubberized, it's hard plastic. Thus, it doesn't sit still on the windshield.Dont' guess, use the right tool. You need one of these.Good tool for diy mechanicsI like how easy it is to use and how versatile it is.Worked fine on my 2000 Mercury Grand Marquis. You really need one of these to diagnose a electric fuel pump failure in the tank. Actually this came later while I was already into the job checking out my problem different ways but with this item I would of known right from the get go what the problem was. What I don't know is if any adapters other then the one that came with this unit are available. Saw other no name brand kits that come with many adapters available on Amazon but too many of them had bad reviews. I have used the Actron product before owning one of their OBDII scanners and it has saved me many a time so I had no problem going for this item. I was pretty sure it would handle my older vehicles with out needing to go out and purchase any needed adapters. Only used it once so far. For Home use on your family cars you are not going to use it much but for the low cost it is worth having if you work on cars. I even saw that Scotty K with his many repair video's on You Tube uses this Fuel Pressure Tester.I bought this to check fuel pressure on my Harley Davidson VROD. The gauge comes in a plastic container instead of a storage case. It seemed like it is well made. The first time I used it the needle was bouncing all over the place and I thought it was broken but after re connecting it worked fine and allowed me to determine that I had a leak which was caused by a fuel line inside the tank. Ez fixNo money had to be spent. Some people have had One ring issues, but as the instructions say, You must lubricate the O ring with light household oil prior to use. The dial lens is made of cheap cheap plastic, same as the packaging material. I read any gas will cloud the lens, so keep the packaging in case you need to make a new lens, it's the same material. Other then that, I'm happy. The package mentions Bosch on the company information, so that is somewhat reassuring. It proved my fuel pump was weak and I replaced it and now my truck runs great! I would say it is a good choice for the do it yourselfer maybe not for the guys who work on lots vehicles in automotive shops. This tester is easy to use and eliminates the guess work. And it can save you diagnostic time and money.Gauge/hose/fittings work well enough however, the main reason i bought this particular unit was for the schrader valve adapter for Volvo 850 fuel rail. The tiny pin/tiny washer/tiny o ring is held into the adapter by the friction of the o ring only and falls out if you tip it upside down. Fortunately I was aware of this from another review I read. It leaked gas on the first several attempts and I had to scavenge a different o ring from something else and stuff it in there and then torque it with a wrench. I took about 1.5 hrs of messing around to get it to stop leaking.Gauge works and bleeder/relief valve/hose are handy.Je n'ai pas utilisé le tester car il n'y avait pas d'adapteur pour le connecter sur mon véhicule. Je l'ai retourné.Sturdy design. Built Well, good price. It doesn't have all the attachments for other vehicle connections but it worked for my truck.
